About WFCAACN: Our membership represents acute and critical-care nurses in Utah along the Wasatch Front. As a chapter of the national organization of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, we welcome all nurses who currently have practiced in or plan on practicing in ICUs, step-down units, telemetry units, PACUs, emergency departments, air and ground critical care transport, special procedures, and cardiac catheterization laboratories. We focus on supporting nurses, nursing educators, nurse practitioners, and nursing leaders.

 

Vision: Critical and acute care nurses are exceptional nurses who can set standards regarding critical thinking and clinical reasoning. Working together, we can share professional resources, knowledge, and experiences to provide engaging and thought-provoking programs.

 

Mission: Patients and their families rely on nurses at the most vulnerable times of their lives. Acute and critical care nurses rely on AACN for expert knowledge and the influence to fulfill their promise to patients and their families. AACN drives excellence because nothing less is acceptable. 

 

Purpose Statement:
To support and recognize a strong community of nurses who are focused on enhancing the care we provide and improving their personal and professional growth.

  1. We would love to encourage our chapter members to attend (and even present if so inclined!)
     • Ask leadership if funding is available to support chapter attendance.
